Awareness Program on Organ Tissue & Body Donation

Department of Anatomy Rajarajeswari Medical College & Hospital Bengaluru, has organized guest lecture on Organ Tissue & Body Donation on 25/7/2024 between 2pm to 4pm.
This awareness campaign was conducted as a part of “Angdaan Jan Jagrukta abhigaan” run by government of India. This program stood special as young doctors & students attended program along with consultants.
The program commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting & welcome speech then proceeded with sessions
Dr. Rajani M, Joint Director (Medical) Directorate of Health & family welfare services along with Transplant coordinator Mr. Srinivasa transplant coordinator explained how transplantation facilitates hope of life for people with organ failure under Jeevansantha kathe. They also motivated everyone to pledge organs.
This was followed by 2nd session where Dr. Bharathi explained about the importance of body donation & its benefits. “Giving is not just about making a donation its about making a difference”.
We took this opportunity to felicitate who have pledged for body donation in our institution & the program was concluded with vote of thanks & high tea.
