Report On Health Education Program

World Diabetes Day was observed on 14th November 2024. Ahealtheducation program on Diabetes Mellitus on occasion of World Diabetes Daywas conducted at CHUNCHANAGUPPEon 19thand 20thNOVEMBER 2024. The beneficiaries were people of Chunchanaguppe area and people visiting Rural Health and Training Centre, RRMCH. The programme was conducted by Dept.of Community Medicine in and was organized by Dr. Shashikala Manjunatha (Head of Department), Dr.Harsha Gowda J K. (Assistant Professor and I/C Chunchanaguppe, RHTC) and interns of the department of Community medicine along with.

1. • On 19/11/2024, people visiting RHTC were invited to gather together and health education on Diabetes was given to them at the Centre.
2. • On 20/11/2024, field campaign was done. Interns visited major public places, public gatherings and few houses and educated people about Diabetes.
3. • Health education materials like placards, charts were prepared and displayed while giving health education speech.
4. • The risk factors, symptoms, complications, diagnosis and measures to prevent and control of Diabetes were explained to people.
5. • Doubts of the beneficiaries were addressed.
6. • The event was completed successfully.
