First Zone ACS(I) Live Dermatosurgery Workshop

RajaRajeswari Medical College and Hospital, Bengaluru hosted the First South Zone ACS(I) Live Dermatosurgery Workshop on 18th December, 2016. Renowned faculty from all over India demonstrated various dermatosurgery procedures during the Workshop.

Col. Dr. Manas Chatterjee, President ACS(I) was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Dr Vidya T S (President, BDS), Dr Umashankar Nagaraju{Hon. General Secretary ACS(I)}, Dr Shashikumar B M{Treasurer ACS(I)} and Dr Vivekananda (Organizing Chairman, Professor and HOD, Dept of Dermatology, RRMCH) were present during the occasion. Dr H V Shetty (Dean, RRMCH), Dr Chandrashekhar (Organizing Secretary, WCOCD), Dr Govindaraju K M (Medical Superintendent, RRMCH) and Dr Sahajananda H (HOD, Dept of Anaesthesia) were the special invitees.

Advanced dermatosurgery procedures like Vitiligo surgery, Hair transplantation, Blepharoplasty, Acne scar surgery, Fat graft, Sclerotherapy, Platelet rich fibrin matrix for non-healing ulcer was demonstrated live from Operation theatre.

Expert consultants like Col. Dr Manas Chatterjee, Dr Yogeshwarappa C N, Dr Savitha A S, Dr Madura C, Dr Kamal K M, Dr Eswari L, Dr Sudheesh K, Dr Vishwas K Vijayadev, Dr Nagesh T S, Dr Nitin Jain, Dr Pradeep Kumari, Dr Sandeep Mahapatra and Dr Umashankar Nagaraju conducted the proceedings from OT. Dr Krupa Shankar D S and Dr Rajesh Kumar moderated the sessions. Dr Ramesh M, Consultant dermatologist was the designated observer from KMC for the event. Dr Balakrishna, Professor of Anatomy, RRMCH spoke on Facial Anatomy with a video demonstration. He was felicitated for his contribution to the field of medical education in a career spanning four decades.

South Zonal ACS(I)-WCOCD-DRL Dermatosurgery Quiz was conducted by Dr Rajesh Kumar during the same occasion. The Workshop saw a massive turnout of over 200 delegates and faculty.
